Rosen Bien Galvan & Grunfeld is pleased to announce that associate Lisa Ells has been promoted to the partnership effective January 1, 2015.

Ms. Ells, who joined the firm in 2007, focuses her practice on appellate law, and also has significant litigation and trial experience in the areas of commercial litigation and civil rights and civil liberties. Before joining RBGG, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable James R. Browning of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit from 2006-2007 and to the Honorable David O. Carter of the United States District Court for the Central District of California from 2005-2006. Ms. Ells received a J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2005, where she was a James B. Kent and Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and Notes Editor of the Columbia Law Review. She graduated cum laude from Duke University in 1997 with a dual degree in history and political science. Ms. Ells has been honored as a Northern California Super Lawyer Rising Star from 2012-2014.
