Prior to joining RBGG, Ms. Tanabe served as a law clerk to Justice Monica M. Márquez of the Colorado Supreme Court. Ms. Tanabe received a J.D., Order of the Coif, from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. During law school, Ms. Tanabe participated in the housing clinic at East Bay Community Law Center, served as a research assistant and legal writing tutor, and provided pro bono support through the Berkeley Law Afghanistan Project. She was also managing editor for the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law and received the Jurisprudence Award in Advanced Legal Research, Immigration Law, and Negotiations.
Ms. Tanabe received a B.A. in English from Stanford University. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Tanabe was a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant and worked in the nonprofit sector.
