In 1998 RBG together with Oregon Counsel in securing a $2,000,000 settlement of the claims of two innocent men who has been illegally convicted of aggravated murder and who had served more than eight years in maximum security prison. Along the way to that settlement, RBG secured an order of the United States Court of Appeals dismissing the investigating detectives frivolous appeal and awarding approximately $45,000 as sanctions.
