Prior to joining RBGG, Mr. Miller was a supervising attorney at the Orleans Public Defenders in New Orleans, where he practiced as a public defender for nearly a decade. While there, he represented thousands of individuals from arrest to trial and helped develop the office’s mental health practice group. Prior to joining RBGG, Mr. Miller was a supervising attorney at the Orleans Public Defenders in New Orleans, where he practiced as a public defender for nearly a decade. He also co-founded Nola Defenders for Equal Justice, a political action committee that worked to help elect progressive actors in New Orleans’ criminal legal system.
Mr. Miller is a graduate of Columbia Law School, where he was awarded the Samuel I. Rosenman Prize, given to a single student who has demonstrated academic excellence in public law courses and outstanding qualities and leadership in the law school. He was an active participant in the law school’s Challenging the Consequences of Mass Incarceration Clinic and the Columbia Law Review, and completed internships with Neufeld Scheck & Brustin, the Bronx Defenders, Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem, and the Louisiana Capital Assistance Center. He received a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
