Rosen Bien Galvan & Grunfeld is pleased to announce that associates Kara Janssen and Jenny Yelin have been promoted to Senior Counsel effective January 1, 2020.

Kara J. Janssen works on complex litigation and pre-litigation matters in federal and state court, with an emphasis on class action litigation, constitutional and civil rights law, and disability rights. Prior to joining RBGG, Kara was a staff attorney with Disability Rights Legal Center and with Disability Rights Advocates, both national nonprofit legal centers, where she was lead attorney on multiple individual and class action matters on behalf of people with disabilities. She is a frequent speaker on legal issues relating to the rights of people with disabilities. Kara received a J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she was a Root-Tilden-Kern scholar, and a B.A., magna cum laude, from University of Arizona.
Jenny S. Yelin practices complex civil litigation in state and federal courts, with a focus on individual and class action employment law as well as constitutional and civil rights class actions. She also has experience with complex consumer litigation, public employee pension law, disability access compliance, mandamus actions, and appeals. Jenny is a trained mediator and a member of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California’s mediation panel. Before joining RBGG, she worked in the Santa Clara County Counsel’s Office, where she specialized in affirmative litigation and labor and employment matters. Jenny has a B.A. from Columbia University and a J.D. from University of California, Berkeley School of Law.
