RBGG associate Michael Nunez is profiled in a Law360 article, Gaining Access: Disabled Lawyers Share Their Stories, which was published on August 14, 2018.
According to the article, “Nunez, who is blind, handles employment matters and class actions, including helping to bring cases for blind groups that have resulted in major settlements.” It goes on to note that RBGG is handling an ongoing class action, Armstrong v. Brown, a case where RBGG proved in federal court that California’s prison and parole systems violate the Americans with Disabilities Act by discriminating against prisoners and parolees with mobility, sight, hearing, learning, mental and kidney disabilities and quotes Mike on his role, “When firms have a strong civil rights practice, it’s helpful to have attorneys who reflect the population they are working with and who are more familiar with some of the issues that population might be dealing with. It’s so valuable to have representation from diverse communities at the table in a firm.”
