Appellate activity has been high at RBGG. The United States Supreme Court session that ended in June featured two high-profile cases where RBGG successfully defended client wins from challenges in the nation’s high court.
The California Supreme Court has also been a major forum for RBGG clients—including a precedent setting property rights decision issued in late 2013. RBGG has also been active in California intermediate courts of appeal.
The highest level of appellate activity by far in the past few months has been in the federal courts of appeals. In the first half of 2014, RBGG lawyers have submitted major class action briefs to the Ninth Circuit —with arguments expected to be set in the near future. This flurry of Ninth Circuit activity comes after a busy 2013 that featured several briefings and arguments in the federal court of appeals.
